Overall I felt that my 1st and 2nd class really enjoyed taking part in Stem during the year. The class investigated plastic and made lovely Valentines hearts. The pupils enjoyed the practical aspect and they loved investigating and finding out new things as the investigation progressed. I noticed that they like to observe and chat with their partner about what they see and how the mixture of milk and vinegar felt upon straining it. I find these activities are very beneficial. They encourages group work, communication and then reflection at the end.
