It was a dry Thursday, 14th March 2013. The 5th and 6th Class pupils of Rusheen N.S. were out in the soccer court doing all sorts of skipping. It was great to go out and do something for charity. We were jumping with a big rope and then we did double-dutch. We went around our community to collect money for charity. We raised €770.00 and gave it to Sr. Joan Corkery. Sr. Joan is Congregational Leader of the Medical Missionaries of Mary and has been to lots of third World Countries and does a lot of work for them. She showed us pictures of her work and told us very interesting stories. She gave us presents of African Cloth and Wood. We have since received a letter from the Medical Missionaries of Mary informing us that the money will be used for a water project in Nangwa Tanzania. We had a great day skipping and we are very happy with our success. We hope that it will make a huge difference to their country.
