On Tuesday, 24th of June, the Muintir Na Tire Garden Competition was held in the County Hall, Cork. Some of the features in our garden include mosaics of butterflies, lots of flowers, and some herbs, vegetable and fruit patches. We also have a water butt which contains the water for watering our plants. There is a bridge that crosses the stream right outside the garden. On our way into the garden there is a pergola. On the sides of the pergola we have some roses growing. When you look over to the left you can see our apple tree. We also have a lawn. Down near the bridge the juniors and seniors often pay “shop” near the benches.
The highlight of our garden is the Fairy Village. The judges were very impressed with it and we won a prize of €200.00 for being the most innovative garden in the schools garden competition.
