Boys Relay Team at Cork Primary School Sports
The Cork Primary School Sports were held in September in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. It was a sunny day, but due to the weather a few days beforehand the pitch was damp. Rusheen had a lot of runners in both sprints and relays. Our boys relay team came first and the girls relay team came second. Congratulations to our sprinters:- Denis Rivers, Peadar Twomey, Michelle O’Callaghan, Marion Coakley, Caoimhe Cotter, Shane Corkery, Adam O’Leary and Micheal Coakley who did very well. To add to the good news, we brought home 15 trophies. Well done to Denis Rivers Coakley, Michelle O’Callaghan and Sarah Kelleher who all came first and to our relay teams of Peadar Twomey, Donagh O’Riordan, Ted O’Leary and Denis Rivers Coakley and the girls relay team of Aileen Corkery, Mairead Corkery, Sheila Twomey and Katie O’Connell.
