Rusheen N.S. competed in the Cork Primary School Sports on Friday 23rd of June. The girls team were first to run in the morning. Michelle O’ Callaghan came first in the race to victory in the Under 12 Sprint, Niamh Looney and Caoimhe Cotter came 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Under 11 while Sarah and Katelyn came 3rd in the Under 9 and Under 7 respectively.
After the sprints, the relay team of Michelle O’ Callaghan, Kiara Leahy, Shauna Burns and Marion Coakley took to the field and ran a great race to come in second place.
In the boys under 13, Ted O’ Leary won his sprint quite easily and Donagh O’ Riordan came 3rd in the same age category. Well done to all the boys and girls who competed so well for the school on the day.

The boys relay team of Ted O’ Leary, Diarmuid Crowley, Denis Rivers Coakley and Peadar Twomey ran a superb race easily winning the Noel Ford Shield.
