On the 2nd of December 2018 the Rusheen National School Christmas Market was held in the Aghinagh G.A.A. Hall. It was organised by the Parents’ Association and started after Mass. There were stalls such as a book stall, a bun stall, a hot drinks stall and a raffle ticket stall. There was an auction and Mr. Coakley was doing the auction. There was also a stall for all the decorations that Rusheen N.S. pupils crafted themselves. Cakes, sweets and a lot more were included at other stalls. There was also a bake sale and mulled wine, tea and coffee. Ms. Ambrose won the hamper. Saoirse and Ellie won the “Guess the number of Sweets in the Jar”. Overall Rusheen N.S. raised €4,054.19. It was a great day.
