On the 18th of June 2018, Jessie Murphy, Mary Deasy, Leah Kearney and Jamie Kearney went to the Garden Awards. It took place in the Cork County Hall. We won a prize for the best biodiversity garden in all of Cork. We also got a cheque for €200 for our garden. We were all thrilled with ourselves. It was our first time in the Cork County Hall and we loved it.
Just before we went into the reward room we went up to the 17th floor and got drinks and cakes. The view was amazing. We went down to the reward room and watched a slide show. Cáit Sheehan’s memorial plaque was the first slide in the slide show. We remembered all the great work she did in our garden. It was a great day.
