Sciath na Scol Disco
On the 18th of November, after a long campaign, Rusheen played St. John’s Kinsale in the Sciath na Scol Final in Páirc Ui Chaoimh. We travelled by bus and were very excited before the final. The ball was thrown in and Rusheen got a great start and were leading 2:1 to 0-2 at half time. The second half started, Rusheen scored two more goals. The game was over as a contest but St. John’s kept trying. Rusheen ploughed on to victory. The final score was 4-6 to 0-2. The team was Peter Goggin, Denis Coakley, Donagh O’Riordan, Michelle O’Callaghan, Jer Buckley, Ted O’Leary (0-4), Peadar Twomey (1-1), Shane Corkery (2-0), Steven Lucey, Diarmuid Crowley, Adam O’Leary (0-1), Sub. used Alex Murphy (1-0), Shauna Burns, Kiara Leahy, Cathal Crowley, Luke O’Leary, Jordan Burns That evening we had a great celebration in the Castle Hotel. We had chips, nuggets and sausages and had a great disco afterwards.
