On the 29th of September, while on our way to Leamlara, we went to Blarney Castle, which was built by the McCarthys of Muskerry. We were amazed at the size of the castle when we got there. We had to walk up 150 steps to the Blarney Stone. Most of us kissed the Blarney Stone at the top. This stone gives you the “gift of the gab”. Legend says this stone came from Scotland. While we kissed the Blarney Stone we held on to bars and someone held us so that we wouldn’t fall. Then we went down the steps again and went into the garden for a walk. After that we went on the bus again and on to our Sciath na Scol Match.
