Rusheen N.S. had a very successful day out at the Muskerry Final of Scòr na bPàistì held in Ovens recently. We had a large representation at the Final taking part in 8 out of the 10 events.
Shona White came first in the Solo Singing with her beautiful rendition of “Cnochàinìn Aerach Cill Mhuire”. The Noelty Act, produced by Càit Sheehan, performed a “A Love Story”. It went down a treat and also came first. The Set Dancers, under the tuition of Deirdre O’Sullivan, danced the “Cashel Set” and also won. Rusheen’s quiz team were involved in a tie-breaker in the quiz and took the laurels when they answered all the tie-breaker questions correctly.
Our Figure Dancers came second as did the Ballad Group, under the tuition of Caitriona Murphy.
We were once again awarded the Denis O’Donovan Memorial Trophy as the best Scòr na bPàistì Team in Muskerry.
Best of Luck to all the winners who will compete in the County Semi Final in Millstreet on Friday next, March 7th.
