It’s been a very eventful week in Rusheen School. After the success of our song “It’s Christmas Time” we recorded our Carol Service in the School Garden. Then, Virgin Media 1 did a feature on the school and recorded it for the “Elaine Show”. Elaine interviewed Mr. Twomey through Skype.
T.G.4 recorded part of their Laochra Gael Programme on Briege Corkery in the school garden during the week and interviewed Mr. Coakley. Also, pupils and staff dressed up in Red & White to support the Cork Ladies Football Team in the All-Ireland Football Final.
After that we received the wonderful news that Chloe Lehane, Aisling Lehane and Saoirse Leahy came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Credit Union Art Competition. They were presented with a goody bag and substantial cash prizes. Chloe’s entry also won the Chapter Award and has reached the National Final of the Credit Union Art Competition. We might be receiving further good news in the New Year!!
