Rusheen N.S. had a most successful day at the Scòr na bPàistì Muskerry Final held in Ovens recently. Rusheen Set Dancing Teams came first and second and they also came second in the Figure Dancing. Anna Sheehan came first in the Instrumental Music, playing “Den Tarrant’s Polka” on her violen. Rusheen’s Quiz Team also emerged victorious scoring 78 points out of a possible 84. The Novelty Act Team performing “The Match” also came 3rd . In addition to this the School was awarded the “Denis O’Donovan Memorial Trophy” for the fifth year in a row for being the best school in Scòr in Muskerry. Well done to all the competitors and to everybody who helped them along the way.
We then went to the County Semi-Final on the 9th of March. We did not get through in the solo instrumental but we got through in the set and the quiz. We were delighted. We then went on to the County Final . The quiz came 2nd and the senior set didn’t get a place, but performed very well on the day. Comhgairdeas leis na paistì sna comortas.
