Earlier this year 5th and 6th class did a project on Global Awareness. It won an award from Irish Aid who organised the competition. On the 16th of May, Leah, Grace, Rebecca, Luke,James, Mr. Coakley and parents Tom Cuddihy and Christine Kelleher attended the Irish Aid Awards Ceremony in the Triskel Arts Centre Cork. We received a plaque for Excellence of Global Awareness. During the presentation a few pupils from the schools got up on stage and danced. We all had great fun. We also sang a song from Zambia. A Chef also came up on stage and was talking about how farmers can only farm 1/32nd of the Planet so we need to care for it. Afterwards we went to Il Padrino Restaurant for something to eat. We had a great day out.
