First Holy Communion Day

General NewsComments Off on First Holy Communion Day

On the 18th of May 2019 we had our First Holy Communion. There were 10 communion children altogether. Dylan, Oliver, Michael Jerh and Ryan said the prayers of the faithful. Grace, Savannah and Ellie sang a hymn. The two Wills and Ajay brought up the gifts. Father Joe said a great mass. Some of the 5th and 6th class were in the choir and Michelle and Ava were the organists. It was a lovely ceremony. Afterwards the crowd went up to the local G.A.A. hall and there was  tea and lots of refreshments too. Máiread Corkery (past pupil of Rusheen N.S.) baked a stunning cake with the communions children’s names on it. The following week we enjoyed the cake in school.
