Last Thursday, the 31st of May, the Cork Primary School Sports were held in C.I.T.
First were the sprints. In the boys, Thomas Morgans came first and went on to the county quarter final. Sean Cummins came 2nd and John Kelleher came 3rd. Jacob Barry also came 1st in the sprint and went on to the county final and came 2nd. The boys relay team of Thomas Morgans, Noah O’Leary, Luke Ring and Ben Hinchion came 3rd also.
In the girls sprints, Roisìn O’Riordan came 1st and went on to the county quarter final, Moira Leahy came 2nd and Aoife Shannon came 2nd. The girls relay were unlucky coming 4th.
The conditions on the day weren’t great with child after child slipping at the start. Overall everyone had a great day running.
